How to arrive

Bus

Croatia is connected to Austria, Italy, Hungary, France, Germany and other countries by international bus lines.

There is also well developed national bus network.

Car

For entry and driving in Croatia you will need green insurance card and valid driving licence. During summer months there is heavier traffic on border crossings that can cause short delays. Toll is charged on highways, semi-highways and bridges.

Ship

There are regular shipping lines between italian (Venice, Triest, Ancona, Pescara and Bari) and croatian ports.

Train

Railroad network connects Croatia directly to Slovenia, Hungary, Italy, Austria, Switzerland, Slovakia, France, Germany and Bosnia and Hercegovina. For all other countries there are indirect lines.

All larger cities in Croatia except Dubrovnik are connected by rail.

Airplane

There are flights from almost all international airports to croatian capital Zagreb, from where you can continue the flight towards the coast. There are larger number of flights during the high season, and there are numerous charter flights directly to larger croatian tourist destinations: Pula, Rijeka, Split, Brac and Dubrovnik.
