Rafting on Cetina
Discover UNKONWN Dalmatia - green river, magnificent canyon, dense forests, waterfalls, mysterious caves and mills out of the fairy tale.
Only a couple of minutes drive away from the historic town of Omis, located between Split and Makarska, you willl be able to see what river Cetina hides.
You will swim in clear warm water, ride through refreshing waves, shower underneath the waterfall, drink water from the spring, jump from the cliffs, explore caves. The extraordinary environment of river Cetina was used in filming movies like "Dirty Dozen", "High Road to China", "Winnetou"...
You can expect moderate and light rapids, deep still lakes made for refreshment, river banks with dense vegetation that, in some places, create tunnels from interweaved branches, impressive rocks, caves....
River Cetina rises from five strong karst springs at 380 m above sea level, underneath Dinara (1831 m) and Gnjat (1801 m) mountains, few kilometers north of Vrlika, and from there runs to the south-east through Sinj plain and Trilj to Zadvarje, where it turns towards west to it's mouth at Omis. Here it it turns south and runs into the Adriatic.
Cetina is, at 100 km, the longest river in Dalmatia, and waterfall Gubavica (48 m) underneath Zadvarje is one of the largest in Croatia. Cetina has a very slow flow in the summer, some 4-6 m3/sec, which is caused by accumulating and diverting water through tunnels for hydro energy purposes, while during great rains and melting of snow, when energy requirements are fullfilled that flow rises dramatically.
This river has carved it's path through plains and rocks, creating lakes surrounded with dense vegetation and canyons cut deep between imposing cliffs in the process and thanature around is still pure and intact.
PROGRAM:
Organizer meets the guests at excursion site Luka ( 6,5 km upstream on the left bank of river Cetina from Omiš), from there guests proceed with organized transport (included in the price) upstream to the starting point. Excursion site Luka is the final destination of our excursion, so our guests will be back by their cars at the end of the excursion. Rafting itself lasts 3 to 4 hours.
Organized transport to the excursion site Luke leaves at 09:00h (whole year) and 14.30 ( in May, June, July and August), unless departure time is arranged separately.

PRICE INCLUDES:
